Cursing? Have you ever noticed that some people believe to use inappropriate or “curse” words in their conversation makes them identify with those they speak with – makes them tough or important – when actually all it shows is their ignorance, lack of basic English, lack of common courtesy and lack of self respect?
Even I have found myself joining the group until I have woken up and realised it is far BETTER to be yourself, respect yourself and stand out from that crowd.
Have you ever noticed the Comedian who does not use profanity in their jokes get the standing ovation while the others may get a massive laugh but are not remembered down the track nor is the joke memorable or repeatable especially in the family situations?
Why not stand out and deliver your conversation with content? Surprise your peers and be remembered for your “Way with words” and not because you are an embarrassment.
You do not have to use long boring, hard to pronounce words, but words from your heart. Words that describe a mood, feeling or situation as you see it. Words that paint a picture so that others may see through your eyes.
I may not be able to offer English Lessons but I have found something that can help young and old alike. You may not think yourself individual or special – but I do. I believe everyone has that “something” inside them that needs to come out!
